Where am I from?
Originally, I am from Youngstown Ohio, but I tell people that I am from Columbus because that is where I graduated from high school. I pride myself on always having a midwestern outlook on life.

At age 30, I moved to Washington, DC to attend Gallaudet University.
Attending Gallaudet University was one of the greatest decisions of my life. It was there that I found my Deaf identity. My experiences at Gallaudet shaped my adulthood and inspired me to seek post graduate education.
After graduating with my BA in English in 2014, I moved t0 Baton Rouge, LA.
In Baton Rouge, I began my career as a Deaf education teacher, while also attending graduate school at Lamar University.
It was a rough first year, but then I applied for my dream job and moved to Austin, TX.
I moved to Austin in 2015 to work as the high school theatre teacher at Texas School for the Deaf. After a few years, I became the coordinator for the TSD Performing Arts Program.

In 2017, became the founding Artistic Director of Deaf Austin Theatre.
